November 2nd Gunnison and Crested Butte Market Update

23 Days until the lifts open at Crested Butte Mountain Resort!!  It seems a little hard to believe, especially since it is sunny and 50 degrees today.  We have snow in the forecast this week which should allow for the snow making to begin at the resort.  We always need a little “fake” snow to get a solid base for the year.

Interested in joining a club this winter?  Most people think that the only club you can join is a country club but there are also a couple other options for you that are perfect for the upcoming winter

1. The Alpine Club–Situated in a premier ski location at the base of the WestWall Lift, this luxury property is offering a limited number of memberships to the Alpine Club which includes a ski locker, heated garage parking, gym, pool, hot tub and the Alpine Club Bar.  A family up to four members can pay $1,200 for the winter or $3,000 for the year to have full access to all of these wonderful amenities.

2. The Mountain Club-The Full Membership is designed for those who reside outside the base area, offering Valet Parking at the Lodge at Mountaineer Square, a private Club Member lounge and locker room complete with a ski storage area, boot dryer, Ski Valet and a Club Concierge – all conveniently located slope-side in the Treasury Center.  All members receive special pricing at CBMR rental, retail, restaurants and ski school, exclusive Friday First Tracks and on-mountain events with Wendy Fisher and Duane Vandenbush.  Full Membership is $2,950 for a family up to four and the Sports Membership is $1,150 for a family up to four.

The real estate market is showing no signs of slowing down even though we have officially entered “off-season”.  We currently have 119 properties under contract with a total dollar volume of $57,903,800 and 59 of those contracts happened in the month of October.  In October, the listing price to sales price ratio was 89%, with the range from 81%-102%.  Which is a great improvement over the past years where we saw numbers as low as 50-60%.
